How to get the life you want

If you’re not quite as happy with your lot as you’d like to be, what are you going to do about it?  Just what kind of transformation are you looking for?  Do you know how to get the life you want?

Are you always rushing from one thing to the next?  Forgetting things along the way?  Do you struggle to manage difficult situations?  Maybe you tend to think in terms of ‘glass half empty’ instead of ‘glass half full’?

Why do you do what you do?

Do you feel that you are making the most of your life … or instead do you feel that life is passing you by, in a daze of busyness, tiredness and frequent unwelcome demands on your time?

Do you sometimes wonder why you do what you do?  Whether you should be doing something completely different?  Why DO you do what you do?!  It is true that a lot of people do not feel in control of their lives and this can lead to unhappiness.  One of our core desires is to be in control of our destiny along with being happy and feeling loved by family and friends.  Of course there are many things in life over which we have no control, however, there are also many areas of our lives where we can exercise far more control than perhaps we are currently doing.

How we react to difficult situations…

How to get the life you wantAnd remember, it isn’t so much about what happens to us in life, but much more about how we react to it.  Everyone, without exception goes through ups and downs in life, but some people will cope better than others, simply because they will choose a more appropriate reaction than others.  I firmly believe that something positive always comes from something negative – all you need to do is look for it.

If life was constantly wonderful, the reality is that it would become tedious.  Life is all about highs and lows, these are what keep us going; although how you deal with the lows in your life may be something that you need to improve.  External help in the form of life coaching can be a huge asset to show you a new way of behaving so that you can learn to handle difficult times much more easily, to know that they will inevitably happen but when they do, you can cope with them.

There are always resources around us if only we look for them.  Do you seize every opportunity or do you tend to have a closed mind, keep your head down (metaphorically or otherwise) and just put up with things the way they are?

If you decide to be open minded, happy to consider new options that may present themselves, listen to what is being said or done around you, watch how other people behave, what they do, how happy they are, and so on, this will provide you with valuable information to base your own values and desires upon.

In comparison to others you may find that in fact your ‘lot’ is not so bad after all.  It’s all about attitude – if you like what you see then always aim to be grateful.  If you don’t, what will you do differently to get a different result?

If you want to look at your life from a new angle with someone who is supportive, really does care about your future and most importantly can show you new techniques and strategies to ensure you really do things differently from now on just get in touch – I’d love to hear from you.
