My Background
Before I began working full time as a Life Coach I successfully ran my own part-time music business for over 10 years. Prior to this I worked as a Computer Programmer for a large company as part of their Support Team. Before I married and had children, my first career was in nursing. I have always been keen to help others – I am very altruistic in nature.
It was the unique one-to-one environment of teaching the piano to adults that led me to train and qualify as a Life Coach. I frequently found that my clients told me I was an excellent listener, they were keen to talk to me about their lives on a regular basis! I completed an Introductory Counselling course in 2001, and I progressed on from that to pursue Life Coaching as a career.
I found Life Coaching to be far more positively focused than Counselling and this was the reason I chose the Life Coaching career path. I trained with The Coaching Academy, Europe’s leading coaching organisation, and qualified with Distinction. They continue to offer support and further training, even after qualification, so that I keep myself up-to-date with the latest coaching ideas and news.
Having coached initially from home, mostly via telephone coaching, I now work from a modern serviced office at Bloxham Mill. In this environment I am able to offer face-to-face coaching on a one-to-one basis, also occasionally, small group coaching workshops.
Telephone coaching is still available for those clients who prefer this option, or who are unable to leave their home or work easily, to visit.
I am a member of the Banbury and District Chamber of Commerce; I am also a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.
I take my profession very seriously and to this end I am covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance; limit of liability for any one claim - £1,000,000.00.
